The Pleasure Center

Written, directed and produced by Bates graduate Taylor Blackburn, The Pleasure Center is a short film about dating and sex in the modern digital age. When Emily, a sex positive virgin, is roped into a Tinder date by her roommate with a handsome stranger, things don’t necessarily go as planned…especially the following morning. Created by an all women and non-binary production team, The Pleasure Center brings humor to the awkwardness of online dating and provides a glimpse into the sexual culture of this younger generation. This short film provides a unique perspective for the Bates community by giving voice to underrepresented communities behind the camera as well as showing a film that highlights sexual encounters through a funny, safe, and younger-oriented lens.
