In her first feature-length documentary, The Feeling of Being Watched (2018), journalist Assia Boundaoui investigates the FBI surveillance conducted of her Arab-American neighborhood in Chicago. Throughout the 87-minute film, Boundaoui uncovers one of the largest pre-9/11 FBI surveillance programs and exposes its persistent impact on Arab-American communities. Through this film, the BFF hopes to spark a wider conversation surrounding the injustices promulgated by the United States government onto racially diverse communities. (Written by Abel Ramirez ‘20).
