Skin follows two families – one white, one black – who come into conflict after an encounter at a local supermarket. Both families have sons who witness the violent confrontation, which is driven by racism and stokes desires for revenge. We selected Skin for this year’s film festival because of the discussion it might inspire on the issue of racism and identity in the modern-day US. (Written by Isaiah Saunders ‘21)
