Bewildered

Bewildered follows the journey of two famous jazz vocalists and the struggles they face as their once ideal marriage is thrown a wrench when a loved husband falls into dementia. Just as hope seems to be lost, a young caregiver reintroduces melody into the world, revealing the true power of music and its ability to provide comfort to both patients affected by memory loss and their families. The Bates Film Festival believes this film provides a strong platform for beginning discussions on the topic of mental health. It can engage a wide variety of individuals from local older generation community members to academic departments located on campus to caregivers and family members who have witnessed the effects of dementia.
