Taylor Blackburn graduated from Bates in 2015 with a degree in Rhetoric. She went on to earn her Masters of Fine Arts in TV Writing and Production at Loyola Marymount University where she was able to simultaneously have various internships with companies such as Amazon, HBO, and FX. At Amazon, Jill Soloway, the writer, producer, creator, and showrunner of the Emmy Award-winning dramedy series Transparent was impressed by Blackburn and asked her to stay on as their assistant. Blackburn later was tasked with finding substantial projects for Topple, Soloway’s production company. Soon, however, Blackburn earned a spot in a mini writers’ room at Amazon Studios.  As a staff writer, she and her team are currently penning the first few episodes of a show that Amazon is considering picking up.
