Francisca Lopez

Francisca Lopez is a Professor of Spanish at Bates College. After graduating with her licentiate degree from the University of Córdoba, Professor Lopez went on to earn her Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Connecticut. During her time at UConn, Professor Lopez began instructing at Bates College, where she became an expert on contemporary Spanish literature and culture, specifically focusing on representation in narrative fiction, film, and television. She has published a number of books, including Posdata, as well as over 60 other pieces that range from criticism to literature and poetry. (Written by Abel Ramirez ‘20)
