Amy Geller (’96)

Amy Geller is an award-winning director, producer, and teacher who has made a number of short films, documentaries, and commercials. Her recent films have been distributed on platforms like PBS, BBC, The Documentary Channel, iTunes, NBC, Netflix, Amazon, and Fox News. Geller’s documentary For the Love of Movies: The Story of American Film Criticism (2009) has screened at 80 film festivals around the world. She also teaches film courses at Boston University where she won the ‘BU Women’s Guild Scholarship’ which assisted in the making of the documentary feature The Guys Next Door (2016). Geller currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts and attends many film festivals in the New England area. (Written by Kody Greenhalgh, ’20)
